Brief info
Dr. Hibbert, Psy.D., is well known in the community for her vocal expressiveness regarding her standards about excellent patient care and the special needs of women. She has been working in the mental health field for many years and serving individuals, groups, and families in inpatient, outpatient, correctional settings and women’s health programs. She has worked with both adolescent and adult clients to overcome their mental health, addiction and dual diagnosis challenges. She holds a clinical doctorate degree in Psychology with a Forensic concentration and specialty. She is also a Certified Masters Addiction Professional and Life Coach.
Dr. Hibbert has been instrumental in developing many different mental health and substance abuse programs around the nation and has participated in various state and nation-wide policy development committees’ task forces and boards. Her areas of experience include, but are not limited to: addiction (males/females/pregnant), self-esteem, spirituality, self-harm behavior, anxiety, depression, trauma, the LGBTQ population, de-escalation techniques, grief and loss. She is also an avid promoter of the empowerment of women and advocate for women’s rights.
Dr. Hibbert embraces the belief that connecting one’s mind, body and spirit can play an integral part in one’s road to a healthy life. Her clinical approach to mental health is person-centered and humanistic, using evidenced based interventions to work with clients. She believes that providing HOPE and a WELLNESS approach to each individual, “is the key that is needed for the patient’s best outcome and long term prognosis.”
During her spare time, she can be found giving back to students, as she is a professor at a major university.
