Mission

Fern House has been doing the same work since 1983 — taking indigent, chronic drug and alcohol abusers off the streets of Palm Beach County and helping them return to society as productive, responsible people. Not a treatment centre, not a detox: a home with rules, a job to get to, and a room full of men doing the same thing.

We take no government funding. Everything that keeps the lights on and the beds open comes from donors and from the residents’ own weekly rent, which is part of why the programme insists that every man works. Fern House, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
