Information we collect

- •Application information — details submitted through the intake form (background, referral, employment).
- •Donation information — name and email for tax receipts. Payment card details are handled directly by Stripe and PayPal and are never stored by Fern House.
- •Resident program information (in the resident portal) — check-ins, dues status, messages to staff, and emergency contacts you add.
How we use your information
- •To respond to enquiries, review applications, and operate our residential program.
- •To process donations, send receipts, and keep supporters informed about our mission.
- •We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
How your data is stored & protected
- •Data is held in Fern House’s own secured database with role-based access controls. Connections are encrypted (HTTPS).
- •Payments are processed by PCI-compliant providers (Stripe, PayPal); we do not see or store your card number.
Cookies
- •We use only the cookies needed to keep the site working and to keep you signed in to the portal. We do not use advertising trackers.
