From the streets to a steady trade
“Fern House gave me structure when I had none.”
Four decades of men rebuilding their lives — one day at a time.

From the streets to a steady trade
“Fern House gave me structure when I had none.”

Service became a second nature
“The service work changed me.”

A taxpayer, not a burden
“I went from a jail cell to a paycheck.”

From living under a bridge to building a community
“If I can do this, anyone can do this.”
Fern House first helped me make connections to gain employment during a tough time to find a job. Second they taught me how to apply the recovery principles into everyday life; then without a lot of effort from me, life got so much better.
It got so good, I went back to school to learn how to do similar work and as that journey began to open up, so did my growth opportunities. I came back to work at Fern House in 2012 and took over as Executive Director in 2014 where I try to impart the same structure and discipline Fern House gave me to the next generation of people that need our help.
Every graduate started with a single decision. If you or someone you love is ready, Fern House is here.
