Michael Nefzger or, “Big Mike,” as he is commonly called, has been in service to Fern House for 35 years. Big Mike helps all kinds of people with all kinds of problems, as a member of one of the most misunderstood professions: bail bondsman. Big Mike is way less Dog the Bounty Hunter and more of an old softie. A common misconception about the bail bond profession is one of armed toughs chasing after bad guys: more Hollywood than In Real Life. Big Mike doesn’t bring the bravado of a Beretta to the table but rather a big heart that has helped reclaim lost lives.
